I am looking forward to my first girls night out in 4 years! No kids: just friends, music, and booze. I want to bring my camera, but am debating whether I should…what happens at girls night out stays at girls night out

Martinis - specifically French martinis. In all of their yummy goodness, they were my best friend last evening. In all of their head-pounding throbbing, they are now my worst enemy.
I’m excited but a little worried to see what I shot last evening. Didn’t delete anything, thank God! I wonder if what I thought was good last night really is good, or if it was just the martinis talking…

I wonder why I freeze up sometimes. Looking back on some recent events, I can say that I was so eager to impress and not seem like a moron that I in fact probably did seem like a moron. Heh - that’s what you get when you are trying to watch someone you admire do their work. LOL!
Doh! I really am not an idiot, I swear!

Today is gonna be the day
That they’re gonna throw it back to you
By now you should’ve somehow
Realized what you gotta do
I don’t believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you now
Backbeat, the word is on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I’m sure you’ve heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt
I don’t believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you now
And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would
Like to say to you
But I don’t know how
Because maybe
You’re gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You’re my wonderwall
Today was gonna be the day
But they’ll never throw it back to you
By now you should’ve somehow
Realized what you’re not to do
I don’t believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you now
And all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don’t know how
I said maybe
You’re gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You’re my wonderwall
I said maybe
You’re gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You’re my wonderwall
I said maybe
You’re gonna be the one that saves me
You’re gonna be the one that saves me
You’re gonna be the one that saves me

I am small and the world is big
All around me is fast moving
Surrounded by so many things
Suddenly, suddenly
I am small and the world is big
But I’m not afraid of anything
How does it feel?

My plans for dinner at Tir Na Nog tomorrow night? Split an order of these with my pals:
Tir Na Nog Mussels -
Sweet Atlantic mussels steamed in Irish ale with garlic, dill, tomatoes, bangers and cream
For my dinner, I think I’ll do this:
Caramelized Sea Scallops -
Maine jumbos, seared and topped with a light dressing of cabernet, thyme and garlic.
and this (minus the walnuts) :
Mesclun Salad -
Fresh mixed baby lettuces, stilton cheese, red grapes, toasted walnuts and orange balsamic dressing

Mary, Mary quite contrary
How does your garden grow?
Her response: “How should I know? I’m not there to tend it anymore!”

Here’s my latest earworm — at least it’s a good song - Nine in the Afternoon by Panic! At the Disco:
Back to the streets where we began
Feeling as good as lovers can .. you know
Well, now we’re feeling so good
Picking up things we shouldn’t read
It looks like the end of history as we know
It’s just the end of the world
Back to the street where we began
Feeling as good as love .. you could .. you can
Into a place, where thoughts can bloom
Into a room where it’s nine in the afternoon
And we know that it could be
And we know that it should
And you know that you feel it too
‘Cause it’s nine in the afternoon
Your eyes are the size of the moon
You could ’cause you can so you do
We’re feeling so good
Just the way that we do
When it’s nine in the afternoon
Your eyes are the size of the moon
You could ’cause you can so you do
We’re feeling so good
Back to the street
Down to our feet
Losing the feeling of feeling unique
Do you know what I mean?
Back to the place, hey
Where we used to say
Man it feels good to feel this way
Now I know what I mean
Back to the street, back to the place,
Back to the room where it all began
Back to the street, back to the place,
Back to the room where it all began
‘Cause it’s nine in the afternoon
Your eyes are the size of the moon
You could ’cause you can so you do
We’re feeling so good
Just the way that we do
When it’s nine in the afternoon
